Mallika Kavadi

was born and raised in Pune. She has pursued the study of intellectual traditions in arts and sciences as well as creative work as a writer, filmmaker, and photographer. She earned her master’s degree from NYU Gallatin in 2018. She is interested in film-making as a confluence of literature, arts, and technology. She has worked on documentary and photojournalistic projects, as well as developing a Marathi feature film project since being part of the NYU Production Lab’s Development Studio: Feature in 2019. In 2022 she received an Artist’s Research Fellowship from the Folger Shakespeare Library to adapt Coriolanus to a contemporary context.
