Nicholas Tyacke

is honorary professor of history at University College London. He edited The History of the University of Oxford, volume IV, Seventeenth-Century Oxford (Oxford, 1997) and has published a version of John Crowther's Musae Faciles in History of Universities, XXVII/2 (2013). Much of his current research focuses on the political activities of lay Puritans during the 16th and 17th centuries, about which subject he has produced a series of articles—most recently in The Huntington Library Quarterly 78/4 (2015).
