Philip Goldfarb Styrt is an assistant professor of English at St. Ambrose University specializing in early modern drama in political and cultural context. He has published two books on Shakespeare, 'Shakespeare's Political Imagination' (2021) and 'Shakespeare in the Present' (2022), and is currently working on a project connecting empire, race, and early modern drama with the assistance of a Folger Library Virtual Fellowship in Winter 2023.
