Gravedigger’s Tale is going on tour! Learn more and reserve for your organization today!
Gravedigger’s Tale is a new interactive one-man play based on Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The play, developed by director Robert Richmond (Folger Theatre’s Julius Caesar, Richard III, Henry V and more), features the Gravedigger, who appears to have much more knowledge about court life in Elsinore than originally thought. He arrives with a trunk and a book and responds to questions from the audience using the text from Hamlet.
Two free performances will take place at the Folger on June 12 at 6:30pm and June 13 at 12:00pm. Learn more and reserve your spot here.
The Folger Shakespeare Library has a treasure trove of images of characters from Hamlet, including the Gravedigger, pictured below.
